Hey guys! Here's another lil update. :)

This fall, black and white are very in. These two colors are always classy and always look great together. (plus, black is slimming! :D)

This look is soooo cute and trendy. I love the throw back to the 50's with the pedal pusher pants! I'm a huge retro buff and I loveeee vintage stuffs! Anyways, I'll be back next week with another update. Stay stylish!

It's been such a long time since i've posted! This senior year is crazzzzzy! Just a few updates on my life here:

I made it into NHS!
I just finished an 11 page paper for my AP Literature class
I got accepted to the UofA and will be majoring in Physiology next Fall. :D
I went to Disneyland during fall break (photos later)
My band has been getting Excellents at all of our competitions and the guard has a ranking of superior. :D
My band and I will be in Disneyland during New Years Eve for a field show performance at the Holiday Bowl
I sewed a Wonder Woman costume for myself for Halloween this weekend (pictures will be up later too.)

That's about it..but it's a lot of stuffs! I've been such a busy girl!

Back to School: All About Denim

Hey again guys!
So this week is all about denim! Since my first day of school was three weeks ago, it's still been to hot to wear jeans. But since it's getting colder now, i'm definitely pulling out my Torrid jeans! I recently purchased an awesome pair from Torrid made by Dickies. The solid dark wash looks amazing on my body and makes my legs look slimmer. Which is awesome. :)

Oh! And all of the awesome costumes on torrid.com are getting me super excited for Halloween!! I know it's a while a way yet, but i'm thinking I wanna be either the Fairy Tale Princess, or the Queen of Wonderland. Totally cute. :) I have to convince my mother to let me get one!

Summer 2009

Hey guyssssssss. I'm like, six days late for this post. Whoops. :P
SO, i had a totally awesome summer! It feels weird chatting about this because i've already been back to school for almost a month. lol

I only went on one vacation this summer but it was AWESOME. I went to the Big Island of Hawaii this year. My family and I have been going to Hawaii for the past 7 years every year, and we plan on moving out there in a few years? Who knows! :)
Anyways, I kept my wardrobe fresh for the beach with my closet sized collection of Torrid swimsuits! They're so fun and I felt very confident in my leopard print one piece. :P
Another staple for my wardrobe was my favorite denim shorts! I must have brought about five different pairs with me on this trip!

Besides the wonderful scenery, sand, sun, and surf, what made this trip truly wonderful was finding out that i won the Torrid Hi School Model Search! It made my trip even better! I remember answering the call out on the patio of our condo and jumping around all excited in the grass. It was so awesome. :)

Anyways, I'll blog again tomorrow. xD I promise.

My favorite summer accessory!

Ok, so i've been so busy lately. School is so tough this year, who's idea was it to take AP Literature again? Ha ha! Along with that, marching band is really kicking my butt! xP

Enough complaining now. My most favorite summer accessory this summer was sunglasses! What's great about them is that they can go with any outfit and add a perfect touch of rock chic to my look! :)

Not only that, but they look best with my absolute new favorite pair of denim from Torrid! I got an AWESOME pair of black skinny jeans made by Tripp, and they have the coolest skull rivets on them!

Not only that, but they were featured in Seventeen magazine! Super cool. :)

That's it for now! My nose is going back to the grindstone... homework, eww.

Back to school shopping!

Hey guys! Sorry about not blogging last week, I was out at band camp working super hard for this year's show. I was working from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m every day Monday-Friday. Busy girl!

Not only that! But today is my seventeenth birthday!!! :)) Yayyy!

With that said, I think that the KEY back to school item is a bomber jacket! As well as the sweater dress. When I find time to go by Torrid, i'm going to search for these items. :) My faves are below!

Bomber jackets are really in this fall. :)

Sweater dresses are good for your curves. They show off your beautiful waist line. :)

I'm really burnt out guys. School starts on Thursday and my schedule is screwed up. >.<

2009 House of Dreams Model Search!

Hello! I'm back again this week to let you ALL know about Torrid's model search that's happening THIS WEEKEND! July 17-19.
Just a few details to start off:

You can get an application in store or online! The link to the app is here: http://community.torrid.com/divaspirit/hod_2009.asp)

You MUST be 18 years or OLDER to apply! :)

All you need to bring to the store on July 17-19 is your application and an 8x10 photo of yourself (you can bring more than one photo)

You can also mail your application in to Torrid as well, so if you're Torrid isn't close to where you live, no worries!

The first 100 girls to enter will receive a goodie bag from the store! Yay!

Finalists will be announced August 25th, and you can vote for the winners online.

Winners will be announced September 1st. :)

The prize includes a trip to LA and the opportunity to walk the runway at Torrid's House of Dreams event at FIDM!!

Ok guys, to ANYONE out there who's even considering entering, and even those of you who don't believe you could win, ENTER! Do it! Because, you can't win if you don't enter! The Scoop!

Hey hey! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend and stayed safe! I know there's a lot going on now that we're in the middle of summer, and people just need to get out of the house!
Here in Arizona, we're pretty lame in the way of concerts and events. We don't have any theme parks or water parks here. :( I don't know why! 110+ degree weather is perfect for a water park!

Anyways, apart from sleeping, i've been trying to get out and do things this summer. :P
A very popular thing to do in the area is to go to 4th Avenue and cruise the crazy stores and thrift shops. It's so colorful and there's so many different types of stores! From organic, to tattoos, to hippy, to retro, and so much more! It's my most favorite place in Tucson. :)

I just signed up for a cardio dance class, so that should be fun. :P I love to dance, but there isn't much in the way of studios around here.

4th of July Weekend!

Hello everyone! So the fourth of July falls on a Saturday this year, a perfect day for celebrating! I'm not sure what i'm going to do yet because our local event isn't happening this year. :(((

At least we're able to see the fireworks at a nearby hotel a few miles away from our house. :P
I'll probably end up buying some party poppers and setting those off with my family; fun!

Anyways, if I were to go to some sort of celebration, this is what I would wear!

The cardigan is soooo adorable! I'm saving up for that. :P Anyways, i'd wear it because it's usually rainy or EXTREMELY windy on the fourth of July. Eww. But this cute cardigan would keep me warm out in wind.

That's my tip! My mom always tells me to bring a sweater, you never know when it's gonna be cold! So always bring a sweater! Especially this cute cherry cardigan. :P

Oh, and I had some professional pictures taken today for the first time! So if you're lucky, I may post one! ;D

Ok, so, I was looking around at the other girls' blogs and I felt left out. I forgot to tell you guys all about myself! So here it is!

Valerie Schaefer!

I'm a total admitted band geek. I'm in my school's color guard and I perform on field during halftime through the art of dance, flag, rifle, and sabre. It's super fun and the band is my second family!
I'm a young senior. As of now, i'm 16. On August 4th i'll be 17, right before my senior year starts!
I'm absolutely dedicated to my greyhound. We rescued her about a year ago and we've fallen in love since! She's the sweetest and quietest dog i've ever seen! And she loves her snacks! I love her so much that I volunteer with the Arizona Greyhound Rescue kennels taking care of dogs so they can get permanent homes. :)
My favorite color is pink, even my laptop is pink!
I love to sew! I enjoy making blankets and stuffed animals. I'm currently working on sewing tutu's for little girls and attempting to sew clothes for myself. (VERY HARD TO DO!)
When I grow up, I want to be a neonatologist and work with sick babies.
This year, i've started an accessory collection so I can be completely decked out for school. :)
And finally, I have an OBSESSION with Betsey Johnson purses. I collect them and use them everyday! I love them because they're crazy and not your usual handbag. So cute!

That's about it! There's more, but I can't think of it at this time, and I don't want to overfill the page with silly nonsense! :P

Valerie's Summer Style Secrets!

Hey everyone! I know it's a little late at night to be up, but since it's my summer break, I'm soaking in every minute of it! I just wanna give a quick shout out to all of the wonderful people who are reading our blogs and making such nice comments all over myspace and facebook. Thank you guys! Ok, since I live in the HOT HOT desert called Arizona, swimsuits are a MUST for staying cool this summer. I know that I have at LEAST 3 Torrid swimsuits, my fave! My favorite one is the leopard print one-piece, which is below:

I've noticed a certain trend this summer that is quite popular, and this is the maxi dress! While I find this style ADORABLE, I find that it's way too hot in Arizona to wear these. :P This one is my favorite:
